Job Description

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, a renowned part of Marriott International, is a global hospitality company known for creating memorable guest experiences and fostering a sense of belonging across more than 400 communities worldwide. Established in 1937, Sheraton has a rich legacy of providing thoughtful service and engaging experiences that connect guests and team members alike. As a leader in the hospitality industry, Sheraton is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, valuing the unique backgrounds and talents of its associates. By joining Sheraton, employees become part of a dynamic and supportive global team where career growth and personal development are highly encouraged.

The role of Revenue Manager for function space at Sheraton is a critical position that focuses on executing revenue management functions and inventory strategy processes to maximize revenue potential. This includes managing function space room releases, rates, and availability to ensure optimal productivity. The position demands a strong understanding of the interplay between sales, reservations, and property management systems to align inventory strategy effectively. The Revenue Manager will monitor group inventory daily, ensuring straight-line availability and leveraging opportunities to increase revenue across all hotel brands.

Key responsibilities of this role also include implementing group sales strategies within sales and reservation systems, determining free sell dates and strategies for local catering, and conducting routine audits to prevent booking conflicts and double bookings. By managing function space proactively, this role safeguards adequate space for group events without compromising the ability to book adjacent groups.

In addition to managing inventory, the Revenue Manager is responsible for analyzing and reporting revenue management data such as RevPar, RevPos, and function space occupancy trends. This involves assisting sales and event leaders with catering projections, generating accurate and timely reports, and identifying underlying issues through detailed data analysis to develop actionable solutions.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders is another vital aspect of this position. The Revenue Manager works closely with sales teams, event leaders, and property management colleagues to ensure seamless communication and execution of revenue strategies. A commitment to collaborative teamwork and excellent communication skills are essential to success in this role.

Sheraton is an equal opportunity employer that fosters a welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of background or protected status. By offering a comprehensive benefits package, Sheraton supports the wellbeing, career development, and life balance of its associates, making it a highly attractive employer in the hospitality industry. Individuals with a passion for hospitality, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to revenue management will find this role fulfilling and rewarding.
