The company focuses on creating cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environments for its clients, providing comprehensive services from janitorial, engineering, and parking to electrical, HVAC, landscape, and mission critical solutions. Serving a wide array of industries including commercial office buildings, universities, airports, hospitals, data centers, manufacturing plants, distribution centers, and entertainment venues, ABM is committed to improving the spaces and places that matter most.
As a military-friendly employer with a strong dedication to equal opportunity, ABM encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply, offering world-class training and career advancement opportunities. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive workplace free from discrimination and provides reasonable accommodation for individuals with disabilities. ABM also participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program, ensuring employment eligibility verification across all hires.
The Valet position at ABM is a frontline role integral to providing professional, courteous, and compassionate guest services. This hourly role pays $17.34 per hour, reflecting a competitive wage that will be adjusted based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. The schedule for this role is from Thursday to Monday, 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, perfect for candidates who thrive in evening and overnight shifts. The Valet acts as the first point of contact for guests, responsible for managing traffic flow, parking and retrieving vehicles safely, and assisting guests with loading and unloading. This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as the valet must clearly explain procedures and directions, resolve inquiries efficiently, and maintain a friendly demeanor during guest interactions.
In addition to guest services, this position includes administrative responsibilities such as collecting and securing guest keys, accurately handling payments and daily revenue reconciliation, predicting traffic patterns to preemptively resolve lot congestion, and maintaining cleanliness in the designated work areas. Valets must operate vehicles according to all traffic laws and facility guidelines, in both automatic and standard transmissions. This job involves working outside for extended periods under various weather conditions, requiring physical stamina and resilience.
Ideal candidates for this role are just entering or re-entering the workforce and may have limited prior experience or education. The position not only offers a reliable income but also the opportunity to become part of a globally recognized company dedicated to sustainability and service excellence. Candidates interested in this career path will benefit from hands-on experience, career growth potential, and being part of a team that prioritizes safety, respect, and guest satisfaction.
