Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service or front desk experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Basic knowledge of reservation systems and point of sale software
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Willingness to uphold company standards and policies
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
  • Comfortable performing light cleaning and laundry tasks
  • Friendly and courteous manner

Job Duties

  • Books guest reservations and coordinates with reservation center
  • Registers guests promptly and courteously using up-selling techniques to maximize room rates
  • Prepares for group check-ins, check-outs, and VIP arrivals
  • Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests
  • Handles confidential guest records with integrity
  • Answers and routes calls appropriately and takes accurate messages
  • Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed by the General Manager
  • Offers and handles wake-up call requests
  • Records pertinent guest information in the pass on log
  • Replenishes continental breakfast and maintains cleanliness of the area
  • Ensures the lobby and common areas are clean
  • Performs laundry functions as assigned
  • Processes customer payments following established policies
  • Promotes hotel services, facilities, outlets, and local events
  • Answers guest questions about property amenities and local attractions
  • Arranges guest transportation when necessary
  • Resolves minor guest complaints and reports major issues
  • Completes daily paperwork including cashier reports and cash handling
  • Balances cash bag during shift changes
  • Uses communication equipment effectively
  • Maintains professional appearance and demeanor
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
