The role available is for a Van Delivery Driver, a crucial position within Gordon Food Service Store that demands professionalism, punctuality, and careful handling of products. The Van Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering products efficiently and accurately along a variable daily route while upholding the company’s high standards of safety and professionalism. This role requires operating a delivery van safely, performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining a courteous demeanor when interacting with customers. Besides delivery tasks, the role also includes assisting with in-store operations such as processing customer purchases, securing cash and merchandise, and merchandising products in a way that maintains quality and meets company standards.
Working hours are Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 8 PM and Sunday from 9 AM to 6 PM, with the added benefit of having major holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter off. - Clean driving record
- Pass pre-employment checks including drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle report
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Ability to use a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds
- At least one year of delivery driving experience and one year in customer service or related field preferred

- Valid unrestricted standard operator's license
- Clean driving record with no drug or alcohol offenses in the past five years
- Ability to safely use a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds

- Good interpersonal and communication skills
Job Duties
- Accurately locate and pick orders in-store for wholesale customers
- Build and maintain good customer relationships
- Ensure accurate and timely deliveries of GFS products
- Perform daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicle and equipment
- Process customer purchases efficiently through point of sale
- Ensure security of assets including cash, checks, and merchandise by following policies and procedures
- Receive and merchandise products accurately, ensuring proper rotation and product quality
