Job Description

This job opportunity is with a reputable hotel that prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining a high standard of hospitality services. The hotel is known for its commitment to a welcoming atmosphere, professional service, and a wide range of amenities designed to enhance the stay of every guest. With an emphasis on guest satisfaction, safety, and operational excellence, the hotel continuously invests in its team, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to deliver outstanding service.

The hotel is currently looking for a dedicated Bellman to join its dynamic team. This position offers an hourly pay rate of $16.90 and requires availability for evening shifts specifically on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. The ideal candidate will possess a clean driving record and hold a valid driver’s license for at least five years. This role is crucial in providing the first and lasting impression guests receive during their visit.

As a Bellman, you will be the face of the hotel’s hospitality team, responsible for greeting guests upon arrival and departure, assisting with luggage handling, and ensuring their overall comfort and satisfaction from start to finish. You will be tasked with carrying baggage to guest rooms, managing the labeling and storage of luggage with accuracy, and maintaining comprehensive records of all incoming and outgoing items. In addition to these responsibilities, the position includes safely operating the hotel’s shuttle van to transport guests when necessary.

Your extensive knowledge of the hotel property, including its staff, services, and hours of operation, will empower you to provide guests with clear directions to various hotel amenities such as the restaurant, lounge, and spa, as well as to popular local attractions. This role also requires responsiveness and efficiency, particularly in attending to bell service requests within a two-minute window to ensure prompt guest assistance.

Success in this role demands a strong work ethic, self-initiative, and the ability to remain composed and professional under pressure. The candidate must thrive in a team environment, enjoy interacting with guests, and demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Handling guest complaints or concerns with tact and professionalism is essential to maintain the hotel’s reputation.

Physical stamina is important, as the job involves prolonged periods of sitting during office-type duties, intermittent standing or walking, fine motor skills usage for keyboarding and equipment operation, and the ability to lift or move objects weighing between 10 to 25 pounds. Communication skills are vital for effective verbal and written interactions with guests and colleagues.

This role may require flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, reinforcing the hotel’s commitment to providing consistent guest services regardless of time. The hotel is also committed to providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities to support their success and inclusion within the workplace.

Joining this hotel team means becoming part of a professional and supportive work environment where great experiences for both guests and employees are a priority. If you possess a clean driving record, enjoy providing top-tier service, and want to work in an engaging and fast-paced hospitality setting, this Bellman position offers a rewarding career opportunity with a respectable pay rate and the chance to contribute meaningfully to memorable guest stays.
