The Utility Worker/Dishwasher role at Porters Neck Village is integral to the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage Department. This full-time position, offering $15 per hour with shifts from 11:30 am to 8 pm (hours subject to variation), focuses primarily on maintaining cleanliness, organization, and food preparation support within the kitchen. The Utility Worker/Dishwasher ensures that pots, dishes, and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, work areas are kept orderly and hygienic, and supplies are properly stored and managed. This role goes beyond routine cleaning duties by contributing to meal delivery assistance and supporting buffet line operations as needed.
By joining Porters Neck Village, employees become part of a community that values teamwork, recognition, and continuous learning. The company offers comprehensive benefits that include medical, dental, and vision insurance with multiple plan options, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 403(b) retirement plan with company match. Additionally, employees enjoy perks such as paid time off, holiday pay, access to the community fitness center, scholarship opportunities, and fun team recognition programs including Employee of the Month and holiday celebrations.
The role of Utility Worker/Dishwasher requires physical stamina and attention to detail, as the position involves standing or walking for the entire shift and lifting weights up to 35 pounds independently. Candidates should have at least one year of experience in a restaurant or senior living setting, be able to understand directions in English, and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and work area cleanliness. This job is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic, compassionate, and passionate about hospitality and senior engagement. Porters Neck Village embraces diversity and inclusion and promotes a respectful, accountable, and professional workplace where employees can thrive while making a meaningful impact on residents' lives.
At Porters Neck Village, the team is encouraged to deliver exceptional service by warmly greeting residents, guests, and colleagues by name with a smile, anticipating and responding promptly to needs, and maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
