The role of Utility Worker/Dishwasher at Porters Neck Village is integral to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and service within the Food and Beverage Department. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to understand direction in English
  • Ability to walk or stand for 100 percent of the work day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs independently and push or pull carts and trays weighing up to 100lbs
  • Minimum of one year restaurant senior living or equivalent experience

Job Duties

  • Exemplify community standards of cleanliness sanitation and operational organization at all times
  • Set up the dish and pot washing area
  • Prepare for dish washing and wash pots dishes and utensils
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment work surfaces and other kitchen areas including mopping and sweeping according to cleaning schedules and procedures
  • Empty trash containers as required
  • Assist with meal deliveries and delivery process as needed
  • Work buffet line as needed
