The Store Manager Trainee position at ALDI is a full-time role designed to develop future leaders who will manage their own stores. Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior retail and management experience
- ability to travel for training within divisional requirements
- ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation
- physical ability to sit, reach, grasp, stand, move, operate equipment, and lift up to 45 pounds
- ability to work in varying temperatures including outdoors and refrigerated areas

Job Duties
- Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure desired results
- leads and develops store personnel
- develops and implements action plans using company provided resources to improve operating results
- oversees resolution of employee and customer concerns aligning with district manager as needed
- interviews candidates for store positions and provides recommendations to district manager
- manages personnel including recommending personnel for advancement and termination
- communicates and cooperates with ALDI personnel, customers, vendors and business partners
- collaborates in resolution of store issues to minimize liability
- leads and supervises team to develop sales and achieve high performance
- understands and executes company strategy while modeling core values
- fosters a positive and collaborative working environment
- oversees compliance with policies and applicable regulations
- trains and develops store personnel using training materials
- observes and evaluates employee performance and provides feedback
- ensures store personnel comply with customer service guidelines and appropriate interactions
- resolves personnel and customer concerns independently or escalates to district manager
- models and supervises compliance with company policies
- ensures a safe working environment by identifying hazards and maintaining equipment
- prepares and manages weekly schedules
- ensures adherence to expense, inventory, product handling, and cash handling policies
- maintains store zone and merchandising standards
- acts to improve operational results and implements plans to achieve KPIs and budgets
- attends and participates in various meetings and training sessions
- plans and conducts store and management team meetings and company-related events
