The Store Manager Trainee program at ALDI is designed for passionate and driven individuals ready to take the lead in retail management. This full-time role requires a commitment of approximately 45 hours per week, with a starting wage of $39.75 per hour. Trainees receive in-depth training and mentorship from experienced leaders who help develop critical skills in store operations, team leadership, customer service, and business performance management. The position offers a clear trajectory to becoming a Store Manager, with first-year earning potential reaching up to $129,500, inclusive of salary and applicable bonuses.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old required
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior experience in a retail environment
- prior management experience
- full-time availability to train at multiple locations
- flexibility to travel within divisional requirements

Job Duties
- Communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports to ensure desired results
- leads and develops store personnel
- develops and implements action plans using company provided resources to improve operating results
- oversees the appropriate resolution of employee and customer concerns
- interviews candidates for store positions and provides recommendations to the district manager
- manages personnel including recommending personnel for advancement and termination
- communicates, cooperates, and interacts effectively with all levels of ALDI personnel, customers, third-party vendors and business partners
- collaborates in the resolution of any issues that arise within the store to minimize potential liability
- leads, develops, and supervises the team to develop sales, engage the team, satisfy customers and achieve consistent high performance
- understands and oversees the execution of the overarching company strategy while communicating and modeling the core values of the organization
- fosters a positive and collaborative working environment and promotes teamwork among employees
- oversees and manages compliance with policies and procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- trains and develops store personnel using appropriate training materials
- observes and evaluates employees' work performance and provides feedback and coaching
- ensures store personnel comply with customer service guidelines and demonstrate appropriate interactions
- resolves concerns from store personnel and customers independently or escalates concerns to the district manager
- models, communicates and supervises compliance with company policies and procedures
- ensures a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, promoting proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment
- prepares, manages and revises weekly schedules
- ensures store personnel adhere to expense guidelines, inventory procedures, product handling, and cash handling policies
- ensures store personnel maintain store zone and merchandising standards
- acts to improve operational results and implements personnel and operational plans to achieve store KPI goals and budgets
- attends and participates in meetings such as district weekly operations calls, monthly one-to-ones and training sessions
- plans and conducts meetings such as store team meetings, monthly management team meetings, training sessions, and other company-related events or meetings
