The role in question is a bakery position within Whole Foods Market's retail environment. Job Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • standing walking 6 to 8 hours per shift
  • use of hand motions including single grasping fine manipulation pushing and pulling
  • ability to perform bending twisting squatting and reaching motions
  • exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals
  • ability to work in temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit
  • ability to work in wet and dry conditions
  • availability to work flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays
  • ability to use tools and equipment including knives box cutters electric pallet jacks and other heavy machinery
  • may require use of ladders

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 to 12 months retail experience

Job Duties

  • Measure mix and prepare raw materials according to company specifications and recipes
  • form cut mold shape and bake dough
  • monitor cooking completion times and set heat and humidity temperatures for proof box
  • check product to ensure it meets Whole Foods Market quality standards
  • ensure temperature sweep and sanitation logs are completed
  • provide excellent customer service and address customer needs in a timely and effective manner
  • maximize sales potential through proper procedures for prepping storing rotating stocking and merchandising product
  • follow and comply with established procedures including weights and measures health and sanitation and safe work practices
  • maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment
  • perform opening mid and closing duties as assigned
  • immediately report safety hazards and violations
  • perform other duties as assigned by store regional or national leadership
