The Store Associate position at ALDI is a full-time role designed for individuals who are passionate about delivering excellent customer service and maintaining store standards. Working over 30 hours per week, this role offers a starting wage of $18.00 per hour with scheduled wage increases up to $20.00 per hour based on tenure. As a Store Associate, you will be a vital part of the ALDI team, contributing to the overall shopping experience by merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, and keeping the store clean and organized. The responsibilities also include operating point-of-sale systems accurately, following company cash handling policies, and supporting curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items for customers. Store Associates must adhere to merchandising planograms to maximize product visibility and sales while maintaining the highest zone and merchandising standards. Attention to detail and ability to follow company policies, including safety and inventory procedures, plays a crucial role in minimizing loss and enhancing operational efficiency. This position demands physical activity such as lifting products up to 45 pounds, operating store equipment, and working in various temperature environments including freezers and coolers.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old required
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, computers, etc
- ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- ability to work both independently and with others
- ability to organize, prioritize and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes

Job Duties
- Models and fulfills all customer service principles and escalates concerns to store management as necessary
- informs store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products
- properly utilizes the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and informs store management of scanning concerns or errors
- adheres to cash policies and procedures
- follows the line policy and opens additional check lanes as required to ensure an efficient checkout
- stocks shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms to maximize sales
- completes curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items from the store, verifying order contents, and ensuring timely delivery to customers' vehicles
- maintains zone standards and merchandising standards at all times
- assists store management in achieving operational efficiency and total loss goals
- complies with all established company policies and processes
- supports store management in providing a safe working environment by identifying and rectifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment in proper working order
- adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- performs general cleaning tasks to company standards
