As a store associate, your role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at maintaining the store’s standards, supporting operational goals, and enhancing the overall shopping experience for customers.
Your daily tasks include merchandising and stocking shelves neatly according to planograms, cashiering duties using the point-of-sale system accurately, and performing general cleaning to ensure the store is neat and welcoming. You will handle curbside pickup orders, ensuring items are correctly retrieved, verified, and delivered promptly to customers. The position demands physical activity such as lifting products up to 45 pounds, operating various store equipment, and working in different temperature environments, including freezers and coolers.
In addition to these tasks, store associates support store management in maintaining operational efficiency, loss prevention, inventory procedures, and a safe working environment. This involves identifying and addressing hazards, practicing proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in working condition. By modeling excellent customer service principles and escalating issues when necessary, you will contribute directly to customer satisfaction and store success.

Job Requirements
- At least 18 years old required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
- Ability to operate all store equipment such as cash registers, floor scrubber, cardboard baler, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers
- Ability to interpret and apply ALDI operating policies and procedures
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and with others
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks to maximize productivity within established timeframes

Job Duties
- Model and fulfill all customer service principles and escalate concerns to store management as necessary
- Inform store management of loss due to outdated or damaged products
- Utilize the point-of-sale system to accurately scan and process customer purchases and report scanning concerns or errors
- Adhere to cash policies and procedures
- Open additional check lanes as required to ensure efficient checkout
- Stock shelves and displays neatly while following merchandising planograms
- Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving items, verifying order contents, and delivering to customers' vehicles
- Maintain zone and merchandising standards
- Assist store management in achieving operational efficiency goals
- Assist store management in achieving total loss goals
- Comply with all company policies and processes
- Support a safe working environment by identifying hazards, ensuring proper ergonomics, and maintaining equipment
- Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines
- Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards
