Full-Time Store Associate

As an ALDI Store Associate, you will play a key role in supporting the store's operational excellence. This full-time position offers a competitive starting wage of $18.50 per hour, with scheduled increases over your tenure, making it a rewarding career opportunity. As a vital member of the ALDI team, you will engage in various essential activities such as merchandising, stocking products on shelves according to precise planograms, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness to keep the store presentable and inviting to customers. You will ensure accurate and efficient point-of-sale operations by properly scanning and processing purchases, adhering to cash handling policies, and opening additional checkout lanes to minimize customer wait times.

Your contributions will enhance the overall customer shopping experience through friendly, prompt, and helpful customer service with a collaborative spirit. The role also involves completing curbside pickup orders by accurately retrieving items and assisting in their timely delivery to customers at designated pickup points, confirming your active involvement in meeting modern retail expectations. You will support store management in achieving operational efficiency and loss prevention goals by promptly identifying and reporting any outdated or damaged inventory, following stringent inventory and product handling procedures, and maintaining safe store environments.

Physical demands of the position include lifting and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at multiple heights, including overhead, as well as operating various store equipment such as electric and manual pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers. The role requires working in different temperature environments, including freezers and coolers, and performing general cleaning tasks that meet company standards. The position expects you to handle tasks with or without reasonable accommodation while promoting safety, ergonomics, and equipment maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, effective communication abilities, and a capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
