As a Service Porter at Green's Toyota of Lexington, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience in the service lane. The Service Porter position is often one of the first points of contact for customers visiting the dealership for vehicle servicing, making it a key role in customer satisfaction. This is a dynamic, fast-paced role where you will be responsible for greeting customers on the drive line, assisting Service Advisors, and ensuring smooth vehicle flow throughout the service area. The role demands professionals who thrive in a high-volume dealership environment, who are organized, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent service.
The Service Porter's duties include preparing customer vehicles for service by applying seat covers and floor mats to protect the interiors, maintaining cleanliness and organization within the facility, and refueling vehicles as needed. Additionally, the role requires good judgment and safe driving skills as vehicles need to be moved around the service area safely and efficiently. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in customer service or automotive environment preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including rotating shifts
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks required by the job
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
Job Qualifications
- Highly motivated and friendly personality
- Flexible with hours including rotating shifts between 7am-5pm, 10am-7pm, and Saturdays 7:30am-3pm
- Demonstrated ability to help others
- Time management skills and punctuality
- Fantastic communication skills with customers
- Professional and well-groomed personal appearance
- Clean driving record
- Willingness to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
Job Duties
- Oversee flow of drive lane
- Greet and ensure that customers are shown to their service advisors
- Prepare customers vehicles for the shop including seat covers and floor mats
- Maintain facility cleanliness
- Gas vehicles as needed
- Use good judgement and safe driving skills
- Assist service team with additional tasks
