The role of the Server in this assisted living community is a critical one, responsible for serving food and beverages to residents in the community's dining areas, along with maintaining cleanliness and sanitation. In addition to serving duties, this role entails performing cleaning and disinfecting tasks in dining and kitchen areas, contributing to a safe and sanitary food service environment that complies with sanitation guidelines and governmental regulations. Furthermore, the Server works under the supervision of the Server Team Leader or Director of Dining Services, performing any additional duties as assigned to support smooth dining operations. Physical stamina is important, as the job involves frequent standing, stooping, bending, lifting loads up to 50 pounds, and the ability to move freely throughout the community. Attention to kitchen safety protocols and the ability to communicate effectively are also crucial in this role.
This position is offered as an in-person role with requirements for availability during day and night shifts. Job Requirements
- Experience in kitchen or server role for 1 year preferred
- availability to work day shift
- availability to work night shift
- ability to frequently stand, stoop, and bend
- ability to occasionally lift and push loads up to 50 pounds
- ability to talk, hear, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- adequate physical stamina to move freely about the community and assist residents where needed
- specific vision requirements including close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust the focus of the eyes
Job Qualifications
- Have general knowledge of sanitation guidelines and governmental regulations applicable to food handling and storage
- have general knowledge of kitchen safety protocol
Job Duties
- Accurately takes and relays beverage and meal orders
