The role available is that of a Full-Time Server, a position that goes far beyond simple meal service. As a Full-Time Server, individuals will work primarily Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with flexibility to cover evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed. The position requires a minimum age of 15 years and the ability to communicate effectively in English with residents, guests, and coworkers. New hires must secure the appropriate food handler permits as mandated by local ordinances within two weeks of employment and, depending on age and state regulations, a work permit might also be necessary before starting.

The server’s responsibilities encompass a broad range of tasks aimed at enhancing the resident experience. From setting a warm and welcoming tone by greeting residents each morning to delivering exceptional breakfast and lunch service, the work is dynamic and resident-focused. Servers carry trays, serve drinks and meals, explain the menu, take orders, and anticipate residents’ needs to ensure every interaction is personal and compassionate. Beyond meal service, servers maintain the dining room's appearance by clearing and resetting tables, handling dishes carefully, refilling water, and preparing tables before meals.

Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the dining area is another critical component of this role. Tasks include vacuuming carpets, cleaning salad bars, and performing other necessary cleaning duties. Servers also deliver room service meals and promptly pick up trays while maintaining a friendly and positive attitude. Listening attentively to resident feedback and communicating concerns to management ensures the highest service quality and a supportive atmosphere. Flexibility and willingness to assist wherever needed further contribute to a cohesive team environment.

RLC offers competitive compensation with pay ranging from $17 to $18 per hour, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
