Morningside of Fullerton is a reputable and dedicated assisted living community licensed in the state of California. The establishment is currently seeking a Full Time Server to join their Food and Beverage department. This role is critical in ensuring that all residents receive outstanding dining experiences characterized by fine dining customer service. The server position involves providing attentive and courteous table service within the community dining rooms. The scheduled shifts cover lunch and dinner hours from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm, including at least one weekend shift. As a Full Time Server at Morningside of Fullerton, the successful candidate will be responsible for taking meal orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining excellent communication with residents regarding menu selections. Additionally, the server must help with maintaining clean and orderly dining areas, assist with dishwashing when needed, and utilize the Point of Sale (POS) system to process billing accurately. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and push/pull wheeled carts up to 200 lbs
  • Ability to work lunch and dinner shifts including weekends
  • Effective English communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and health regulations
  • Availability to be recalled for emergencies or unusual occurrences
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors
  • Demonstrated courteous and tactful interaction with residents and staff

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to multi-task efficiently in a busy environment
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively
  • Ability to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with Residents, guests, visitors, families, and staff

  • Ability to work in a safe manner complying with all department and Community safety policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Takes orders, provides service and all requested items both graciously and courteously
  • Answers questions about menu items
  • Sets tables and maintains work stations are in proper order
  • Clears dishes from tables before, during, and after meal services
  • Assists with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes as needed
  • Uses POS system to bill Residents for orders
  • Work with management to coordinate staff for special functions and large parties
