Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with food production and service
  • Knowledge of sanitation and safety standards
  • Ability to manage and coordinate meal service staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
  • Physical ability to handle objects up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to lift residents with assistance
  • Availability to work full-time from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with food production, service, sanitation, and safety
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassion and genuine care for the elderly
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials guidelines and SDS sheets
  • Ability to work in stressful situations
  • Commitment to community policies and professional conduct

Job Duties

  • Ensures adequate daily coverage provided by Health Services staff and other assigned staff for meal service
  • Assists Culinary Services Director with training and instruction on food service policies and procedures
  • Attends staff meetings as required
  • Ensures all pre-service and post-service work is completed
  • Assigns sections and tables to Health Services staff for timely service
  • Oversees cleaning and preparation of dining room and tables in restaurant style
  • Takes orders for meals and ensures excellent customer service
  • Manages guest reservations and ensures Private Dining Room readiness
  • Ensures compliance with cleaning checklists and responsibilities
  • Maintains confidentiality and professional appearance
  • Maintains positive customer service environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
