Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- proven experience in food service or hospitality roles
- knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- excellent customer service and communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- basic math proficiency for cash handling and billing
- understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- friendly and energetic demeanor
- ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
- strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and reservations management
- excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and check splitting
- knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- previous experience in serving or host/hostess roles preferred but not required
- hospitality background is highly valued
- strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and team members seamlessly
Job Duties
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a smooth flow of service from arrival to departure
- take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable, and relay orders promptly to kitchen staff
- upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing tables and assisting with sanitation procedures
- provide knowledgeable recommendations about menu items, wine pairings, and restaurant offerings to guests
- ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times
- support guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience
- assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed in a fast-paced environment
