Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Basic math skills including adding and subtracting two-digit numbers
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Willingness to learn and complete company training programs
- Ability to handle cash and operate store equipment accurately
- Follow company dress code and grooming standards
- Reliable and punctual with the ability to notify supervisor in advance of absences or tardiness
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as occasionally moving or scanning heavier items
- Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, and percentage calculations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate cash registers and self-checkout technology

Job Duties
- Take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- Operate self-checkout stations and self-checkout robots accurately and efficiently
- Assist customers with locating and scanning grocery items as needed
- Maintain security and control of all funds in the cash register
- Follow proper VIC card procedures and clearly communicate savings to customers
- Greet customers warmly, make eye contact, and provide genuine enthusiastic service
- Keep checkout and surrounding areas clean and organized
- Comply with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements including ABC and tobacco laws
- Communicate clearly in English with customers and associates regarding sales and promotions
- Perform light cleaning duties and maintain store appearance during slow periods
- Report accidents, safety hazards, and operational issues promptly to management
- Support fellow associates and contribute to a positive team environment
- Follow company policies and complete all required training
