Job Description

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is a Fortune 100 home improvement company headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina. Serving approximately 16 million customer transactions weekly, Lowe's operates more than 1,700 home improvement stores across the United States, supported by 530 branches and 130 distribution centers. With fiscal year 2025 sales exceeding $86 billion and a workforce of around 300,000 associates, Lowe's has established itself as a leading retailer dedicated to providing quality products and services for home improvement projects. Beyond retail, Lowe's invests in community support initiatives, focusing on creating safe and affordable housing, enhancing community spaces, developing the next generation of skilled tradespeople, and offering disaster relief to communities in need. The company is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and is an equal opportunity employer, welcoming candidates from various backgrounds, including bilingual individuals, veterans, and military personnel.

As a Customer Service Associate at Lowe's, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience for every customer who walks through the door. This position combines exceptional customer service skills with an authentic care for people, enabling associates to help customers navigate their home improvement challenges effectively. Whether you are seeking part-time employment or a long-term career, Lowe's supports your goals with competitive pay, flexible schedules, and a wide array of benefits.

In this role, you will engage directly with customers by welcoming them, answering their questions, and helping them find the right products and services tailored to their home improvement needs. The position is dynamic; daily responsibilities may include replenishing merchandise, assisting with special orders and deliveries, and preparing specific products like paint tinting or cutting lumber based on customer requirements. Customer Service Associates work across various departments such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Hardware, Tools, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, and Pro Services, depending on store needs and individual skill sets.

This role requires interpersonal excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds unassisted, standing for extended periods, and occasionally working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Associates are also cross-trained in multiple store areas to provide optimal service and support where needed. By joining Lowe's, you gain access to extensive benefits, including multiple health insurance options, tuition assistance, a company-matching 401(k), an employee stock purchase program, and a 10% associate discount. Additionally, Lowe’s promotes skill development through its Track to the Trades program, providing pathways to enhance your career within the home improvement industry.

If you are motivated to help customers find solutions that improve their homes and communities, while also benefiting from a supportive work environment dedicated to your personal and professional growth, the Customer Service Associate position at Lowe’s offers a rewarding opportunity. The company values its workforce and encourages applicants who bring diverse experiences, bilingual abilities, and a passion for service to join and contribute to its mission of making Lowe’s the preferred home improvement destination.
