This position focuses on the essential role of vehicle movement within the auction property. Referred to as the Vehicle Mover or Driver, this role is responsible for the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles on the auction property. This includes driving vehicles to and from auction lots and customer businesses, as well as maneuvering vehicles through auction sale lanes during designated sale days. All tasks must be performed in compliance with auction safety rules and regulations, reflecting the organization’s commitment to a safe working environment.
The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, offering stable daytime hours. The pay rate is set at $15.12 per hour, reflecting a competitive wage within the industry. Additionally, this position may be eligible for further compensation, including commission and incentive programs, rewarding high performance and dedication.
Key responsibilities include driving vehicles safely through auction lanes on sale days, transporting vehicles to and from specified locations on the auction premises and customer dealerships or businesses. Job Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to safely operate vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions
- Ability to perform physical activities including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 15 pounds
- Ability to frequently enter and exit vehicles
- Ability to see clearly and demonstrate good vision including color and depth perception
- Availability to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
Job Qualifications
- Safe driver with a valid driver’s license
- Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently

- Ability to walk long distances
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb frequently

- Vision ability including close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous auction experience preferred
Job Duties
- Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner
- Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses while observing auction driving rules and rules of the road
- Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader
- Move vehicles as necessary and locate lost vehicles
- Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed including inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles
- Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative and notify service or gas truck driver when a vehicle is out of gas
- Assist customers and coworkers as needed
- Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following safety and health procedures and participating in safety activities
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate
