Job Description
Total Wine & More is a premier retailer specializing in wine, spirits, and beer, known for its wide selection and commitment to providing an exceptional customer experience. With locations across the United States, Total Wine & More is dedicated to helping customers explore the world of beverages with expert advice and comprehensive product knowledge. As a company, it values its team members as essential contributors to its success, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment that emphasizes career growth, customer service excellence, and community involvement. Total Wine & More offers a variety of roles that support both in-store and online business operations, blending traditional retail with modern e-commerce solutions.
The role of Store Team Member, internally referred to as Merchandiser, is vital in delivering the Total Wine & More brand promise of excellent customer service and seamless shopping experiences. This position is regular, offering hourly pay ranging from $17.86 to $21.43, reflecting the company’s commitment to fair compensation based on location, experience, and skills. As a Store Team Member, you will be responsible for maximizing product inventory by processing freight, organizing and distributing stock, pulling and stocking merchandise, and building attractive displays and signage. Your daily tasks will support both the physical store environment and the growing online business, including fulfilling orders and assisting with in-store and curbside pick-up and delivery services, even potentially driving and making deliveries if assigned.
Exceptional customer service is at the heart of this role. You will engage customers with greetings, relationship-building interactions, and detailed product knowledge, enhanced by participation in wine, spirits, and beer training programs. Staying informed on current advertisements, promotions, and loyalty programs will empower you to provide personalized and promotional assistance to customers. Ensuring the store maintains high standards of safety and cleanliness is also a key responsibility, along with strict adherence to laws and regulations governing the sale of alcohol to maintain a safe and compliant environment.
This role requires flexibility, with opportunities to contribute in merchandising, sales, front-end, and other operational tasks based on business needs. Seasonal roles are available with the option to apply for non-seasonal positions following the seasonal period. Physical demands include the ability to stand for long hours, handle heavy lifting, and navigate various weather conditions, making it essential for candidates to be 21 years or older with the capability to meet these requirements.
Total Wine & More recognizes the importance of its team members and offers a comprehensive Total Rewards program, including paid time off, generous store discounts, robust healthcare plans (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) with additional benefits, disability and life insurance, paid parental leave, pet insurance, accident and critical illness coverage, and education assistance such as college tuition support. Career development and product training are also emphasized to help team members grow both personally and professionally. The company is an equal opportunity employer, promoting diversity and making reasonable accommodations during the hiring process. Total Wine & More is committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace and upholding a respectful and safe work environment for all employees.
