The company is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Barclay at Vero Beach AL and MC, aiming to maintain high standards for their residential facilities. This position involves critical responsibilities that ensure the upkeep and safety of the property, directly impacting the well-being and satisfaction of residents and their families.
The Maintenance Technician role is integral to the daily operations of the community, involving preventative maintenance, repair coordination, and maintaining cleanliness and appeal of the entire property. The successful candidate will follow a comprehensive preventative maintenance program designed by the Director of Facility Management, responsible for tasks such as paint touch-ups, ensuring that lights are working properly, gutters are clear of debris, and pathways remain safe and accessible. Maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of the building and grounds is essential, as it influences prospective residents, referral sources, and guests.
Additionally, the role entails meticulous record-keeping for various safety and maintenance systems including fire sprinkler systems, fire extinguishers, fire monitoring systems, kitchen hood cleaning, elevator inspections, boiler permits, nurse call systems, emergency backup generators, automobile maintenance, HVAC, and PTAC services. These documentation responsibilities are critical to regulatory compliance and operational readiness. The technician will also assist new residents and their families with move-in tasks, providing support during admissions and discharges, demonstrating the company’s commitment to compassionate service.
This position is ideal for individuals who possess solid construction experience, a strong understanding of OSHA regulations, and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record. Job Duties
- Successfully follows a preventative maintenance program set forth by the director of facility management
- including paint-touch up, grounds and building tour readiness, lights are working, gutters are free and clear of debris, pathways are clear, trash and debris are removed from the property
- practices excellent time management skills and completes tasks within company time frames
- ensures that building and grounds are clean, immaculate and appealing to residents, guests, referral sources and prospects
- provides accurate documentation as it applies to maintenance records on all systems and equipment including but not limited to the fire sprinkler system, fire extinguishers, fire monitoring system, kitchen hood cleaning, elevator inspections, boiler permit, nurse call system, emergency back-up generator, automobile maintenance, HVAC and PTAC service
- assists new residents and family members with move-in tasks during admissions and discharges
