Job Description

Tenfold Senior Living is a respected and compassionate provider of senior living services dedicated to creating an enriching and supportive environment for its residents. As a community-centered organization, Tenfold Senior Living prides itself on fostering a connected atmosphere where residents feel valued, cared for, and truly at home. By combining exceptional service with a focus on health, wellness, and quality of life, Tenfold Senior Living aims to improve the day-to-day lives of seniors with dignity and respect. The organization is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring a welcoming workplace and living environment for all community members. Their dedication to maintaining a COVID-safe environment underscores their commitment to safety, requiring all team members and residents to be fully vaccinated or qualify for accommodations due to valid medical or religious reasons.

The role of Cook at Tenfold Senior Living involves much more than food preparation—it is a vital position where culinary skills merge with compassionate service to enhance the well-being of senior residents. The cook will be instrumental in delivering an excellent culinary experience that not only satisfies dietary needs but also comforts and engages residents by creating meals that are interesting, unique, traditional, and reminiscent of their life experiences. Working in a collaborative kitchen environment, cooks will partner with other culinary team members and management to prepare dishes in accordance with resident preferences and established recipes. This role requires a meticulous approach to cleanliness and safety, adhering closely to regulatory compliance and best practices to maintain a hygienic kitchen, servery, and dining venues.

The ideal candidate will engage deeply with residents, understanding their individual nutritional needs and preferences and leveraging culinary creativity and technique to meet those needs in a thoughtful way. Cooks will routinely perform kitchen prep and production duties, including measuring and labeling ingredients, setting up workstations, and ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored. This position also requires reliability in weekend availability and working hours from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. Beyond the technical duties, this role provides the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with residents and teammates, contributing to a positive and supportive community experience.

Tenfold Senior Living offers a comprehensive benefits package to support their staff’s health, professional growth, and overall satisfaction. With eligibility for medical, dental, and vision coverage shortly after employment begins, alongside life and disability insurance, a 401k plan, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and free daily lunch, the position is well equipped to offer stability and growth. Additionally, professional development is encouraged and financially supported, emphasizing Tenfold’s investment in their employees’ ongoing success and skill advancement. This is a part-time or full-time opportunity depending on the specific needs and availability, inviting culinary professionals passionate about senior care to join a nurturing and mission-driven organization.
