Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College and/or culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 1 year of progressive cook or kitchen experience
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve with team members
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to work extended hours with physically demanding tasks
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Preferred 2 or more years as a cook in a similar restaurant or hotel

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • College and/or culinary degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1 year of progressive cook or kitchen experience, preferably in a hotel setting
  • Detail oriented with strong communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and collaborate with team members
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Prefer 2 or more years as a cook in a restaurant or hotel of similar size and reputation for outstanding service

Job Duties

  • Ensure highest level of food quality and production to standards
  • Conduct daily line checks, ongoing audits of consistency and quality, and implement necessary changes
  • Develop standard operating procedures to maximize quality
  • Ensure food preparation and delivery standards for banquet events and all dining outlets
  • Maintain outstanding presentation of menu items through monitoring photographs and records
  • Control food costs by following procurement guidelines and good business judgment
  • Address guest concerns promptly and ensure food and beverage standards are met
  • Model appropriate operational standards including adhering to ticket times
  • Lead with food safety standards and maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Manage workload effectively and promote collaboration within the team
  • Adhere to all company standard operating procedures
