The position available is for a Full-Time Line Cook to join the culinary team at Tavernonna. This role is integral to the kitchen’s operations and requires a dedicated professional who can execute the menu with precision, consistency, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a passion for their craft, the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to maintaining the restaurant's high standards. Responsibilities include preparing and cooking menu items according to Tavernonna’s recipes and quality standards, performing daily prep work, and ensuring that dishes are presented consistently and accurately.

Additionally, the Line Cook will maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, and collaborate effectively with the culinary team to support smooth service. This role also involves monitoring product quality, assisting with inventory management, and contributing to a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture. Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of line cook or restaurant kitchen experience
  • experience in scratch kitchens or Italian cuisine
  • strong knife skills
  • knowledge of cooking fundamentals
  • ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Tavernonna recipes and quality standards
  • execute daily prep work including sauces, vegetables, proteins, and house-made pasta components
  • ensure all dishes are plated and presented consistently and accurately
  • maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation throughout each shift
  • follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures
  • work collaboratively with chefs and team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • monitor product quality and communicate any shortages or concerns to kitchen leadership
