The Back of House team at Northampton Country Club plays a critical role in supporting the club’s kitchen operations through a range of responsibilities that ensure efficient preparation, presentation, and delivery of menu items. This position operates under the guidance of the Sous Chef and Executive Chef, thereby offering an excellent opportunity for culinary professionals to grow within a structured and supportive environment. The role demands meticulous attention to detail, a commitment to health and safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in similar roles and hold ServSafe Certification, reflecting the club’s dedication to food safety and quality assurance.
In this role, individuals will prepare all required items for service, set up and maintain service units, and ensure all food items meet the established portion sizes and presentation standards. Additionally, team members are responsible for communicating supply shortages promptly to the Sous Chef, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of their workspaces and equipment, and assisting with other kitchen duties as assigned. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service preferred
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Ability to work six days a week
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to follow health and safety regulations
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods

Job Duties
- Prepare all required items for service
- Set up service units with needed items
- Serve items in accordance with established portions and presentation standards
- Notify Sous Chef of expected shortages
- Ensure assigned workspace and equipment are clean and sanitary
- Set up, maintain and break down assigned station
- Requisition items needed to produce menu items
- Adhere to state and local health and safety regulations
- Assist with other duties as instructed by the Sous Chef
