Job Description
Northampton Country Club is a distinguished medium-sized private club that prides itself on offering a diverse culinary experience to its members and guests. Operating six days a week throughout the year, the Club's dining services span upscale dining, banquet events, casual meals, and grab-and-go options, providing a rich variety of food service environments that cater to every occasion and preference. The Club’s dedication to excellence and attention to detail has established it as a notable venue within the community, where quality and service remain paramount. With a commitment to creating an exceptional dining atmosphere, Northampton Country Club embodies the essence of refined taste combined with a welcoming ambiance for all who visit its facilities.
The Back of House team at Northampton Country Club plays a vital role in sustaining the high standards of culinary service the Club has become known for. Currently, the Club seeks committed and passionate individuals to join their team in a role that demands both culinary skill and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the Sous Chef and ultimately to the Executive Chef, this position requires individuals who can effectively manage preparation and service responsibilities across multiple dining formats. The role includes preparing and setting up service stations, ensuring all food items meet established portions and presentation guidelines, and maintaining a clean, sanitary workspace in compliance with state and local health and safety regulations.
Ideal candidates will have prior experience in a similar position, preferably within a club or hospitality environment, as well as familiarity with ServSafe Certification guidelines, which is preferred but not mandatory. The responsibilities extend beyond food preparation to include requisitioning necessary items, assisting with station setup and breakdown, and communicating anticipated shortages to management to maintain smooth operational flow. This role offers an excellent opportunity to be part of a reputable establishment where teamwork, dedication to quality, and a passion for culinary excellence are valued and fostered. Those joining the team can expect to develop their skills further while contributing to the Club’s ongoing tradition of delivering exceptional dining experiences to its members and guests.
