  • experience working in a kitchen environment
  • ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • capability to lift up to 30 pounds

  • willingness to work flexible shifts including AM and PM
  • availability to attend paid kitchen meetings

Job Qualifications

  • Culinary degree required
  • prior experience in professional kitchen preferred

  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Job Duties

  • Work as directed on assigned station under supervision
  • set up station properly and on time for each service period
  • prepare food by following recipes designated by supervisor
  • ensure food quality and quantity meet standards
  • timely send food to correct area
  • report any problems or complaints to supervisor
  • work in other areas and participate in cross-training when directed
  • assist in same day prep and advance prep for other stations
  • attend kitchen meetings on or off duty (off duty meetings paid)
  • follow clean as you go policy
  • maintain cleanliness of work area
  • check with supervisor before leaving kitchen
  • cover, date, label, and initial all food items for storage
  • follow food rotation standards
  • clean oven tops, work areas, and reach-in boxes after service
  • comply with management requests including stooping, bending, and lifting up to 30 pounds
  • observe breaks and meal periods
  • report illness to supervisor
  • adhere to production charts
  • fill out cleaning charts daily
  • enforce accident prevention and safe work conditions
  • follow kitchen regulations
  • no unauthorized presence after working hours
  • punch in and out on time cards
  • overtime payable with manager approval
