The role of Cook at Clarendale Clayton is integral to the Community Culinary Services Department, focusing on hospitality and superior food preparation standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • minimum of one year restaurant or senior living cooking experience
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • capability to work varying hours including some weekends
  • strong attention to detail
  • good physical stamina for standing and cooking tasks
  • willingness to embrace and uphold a culture of hospitality

Job Duties

  • adhere to food quality, appearance, and presentation standards
  • produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
  • prepare diets according to policy and procedure
  • demonstrate cooking standards of speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • assist with serving of meals and ware washing as necessary
  • visit residents periodically to evaluate food service including quality, quantity, temperature, and appearance and conduct evaluations to improve operations
  • represent the community in a warm and inviting manner to create a positive marketing environment
  • support a culture where business decisions and employee engagement drive revenue and occupancy
