The role available is a full-time Department Supervisor in the Starbucks Department at Harris Teeter, designed to assist the Department Manager in overseeing daily operations and guiding a team of up to 12 associates. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the department operates efficiently according to company policies and standards, while also delivering outstanding customer service. The Department Supervisor is responsible for key tasks including ordering and receiving products, completing necessary paperwork, training new associates, planning and assigning work, and evaluating employee performance. Their leadership extends to motivating the team, addressing and resolving complaints, and helping to maintain a positive work environment that aligns with Harris Teeter's values. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years related experience and/or training
  • ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 60 pounds, and perform manual tasks
  • ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • must be AST-certified
  • completion of company training programs including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training
