This establishment is looking for a dedicated individual to join their team in a supervisory capacity within the Starbucks Department, a key area that serves coffee lovers and beverage enthusiasts. The Starbucks Department at Harris Teeter holds a significant role in enhancing customer experience by providing expertly crafted beverages and exceptional service. This department requires effective leadership to maintain daily operations, supervise associates, and ensure adherence to company policies and quality standards. As a Department Supervisor, you will assist the Department Manager by overseeing up to 12 associates, helping coordinate and evaluate departmental functions to achieve operational excellence. This is a full-time position that demands a commitment to leadership, customer service excellence, and team collaboration.

In this role, you will support the department manager in a variety of tasks including ordering and receiving products to maintain inventory levels, managing paperwork, overseeing the hiring process, training new associates, and directing workflow. You will also play a critical role in performance appraisal, motivating the team through rewards and constructive feedback, and addressing any associate or customer concerns that arise to ensure a positive work environment. Your ability to communicate effectively, multitask, and manage under pressure will be essential to helping the Starbucks Department meet its sales goals and customer satisfaction standards. This position requires you to demonstrate patience and understanding while interacting with both customers and team members. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • one to three years related experience and/or training
  • or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 60 pounds
  • ability to reach from 6-72 inches
  • ability to communicate effectively in English
  • ability to complete company training including new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training
  • must be AST-certified
