Job Description
Freedom Square of Seminole is an upscale Senior Living Community situated in the picturesque city of Seminole, Florida. Designed to resemble a charming small town square, the community features paved brick streets and a welcoming gazebo, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for its residents. Located just a short drive from Lake Seminole and the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches, Freedom Square offers a serene and idyllic setting for retirement living. Spanning 15 acres, the community is enhanced by two tranquil ponds and lush garden-like landscapes, making it a perfect place for seniors to enjoy their golden years in comfort and style.
As a distinguished life care community, Freedom Square provides a continuum of care that simplifies the aging process for its residents. The community offers a seamless transition from independent living to assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing care as residents’ healthcare needs evolve. This comprehensive care approach ensures that residents can age in place without the stress of relocation, allowing them to maintain strong social ties and a sense of belonging within a familiar environment.
Freedom Square stands out for its exceptional workplace culture, which includes monthly luncheons, campus-wide events, and an emphasis on inclusivity and respect. The community prides itself on maintaining clean facilities, offering good staffing ratios, and serving a population with mostly low acuity, ensuring a supportive and manageable work environment. Employment opportunities at Freedom Square are available for both full-time and part-time staff, with benefits such as paid time off, paid holidays, career advancement possibilities, paid training, and a resident scholarship fund, all designed to support employee well-being and professional growth.
The culinary team at Freedom Square is known for its expert craftsmanship and dedication to excellence. They are currently seeking energetic, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for serving others. As a line cook, you will have the opportunity to engage in full-scope, hands-on production cooking, working alongside world-class chefs and contributing to the quality of dining experiences offered to residents. This role provides an excellent chance to jump-start a culinary career while gaining lifelong skills and valuable experience.
Working as a line cook at Freedom Square is more than just preparing food; it is about upholding food quality, appearance, and presentation standards at all times. You will assist with meal service and ware washing as needed and produce menu cycle programs that comply with local regulations and dietary policies. Maintaining proper condition of equipment and supplies is also a key part of the role. This position is ideal for individuals who possess basic math skills, understand measurement conversions, and have knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance.
The community embraces a culture of hospitality, guided by clear interpersonal promises that reflect their commitment to residents, co-workers, and guests. Employees are expected to greet everyone warmly by name, treat others with respectful courtesy, anticipate and respond enthusiastically to needs, and maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance. Attention to detail and accountability are highly valued traits, along with an appreciation for diversity and inclusion. If you are passionate about quality, community, and hospitality, Freedom Square offers an outstanding environment to grow your culinary career and make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors.
