The Houseperson role is an integral position within the Rooms Team at Four Seasons Hotel Boston, designed for individuals who are eager, dedicated, and passionate about delivering excellent guest service. This position plays a key part in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and orderliness that guests expect from a luxury hotel. The Houseperson is tasked with ensuring that public areas and guest floors are immaculate, well-stocked, and welcoming. They work closely with housekeepers and other team members to support seamless room servicing and guest satisfaction.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy items
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work in various weather conditions
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Previous experience preferred but not required
  • Able to stay on feet throughout the shift and navigate service areas efficiently
  • Flexible schedule with availability to work rotating shifts, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Clean public areas of the hotel and keep guest corridors neat, vacuumed and dusted
  • Ensure mirrors, furniture, floors, ashtrays, elevators and doors are clean and mark-free
  • Maintain cleanliness of service elevator landings, stairwells and linen storage rooms by sweeping, mopping and dusting
  • Move racks of clean rooms linen to guest room floors and stock linen storage rooms and armoires daily with supplies and amenities
  • Sort linen and empty trash and dirty linen from guest room floors
  • Assist housekeepers as required, including moving beds and furniture, turning mattresses, and removing or hanging sheers and drapes
  • Pick up and deliver guest request items such as irons, ironing boards, cribs and rollaway beds on a timely basis
  • Work outside public areas and in inclement weather conditions as needed
