Job Description
Xanitos, Inc. is a distinguished management company specializing in hospital support services including housekeeping, patient transport, central laundries, and patient observation services. Founded with the mission to enhance healthcare environments, Xanitos is noted for its patented XRO System, an innovative cleaning protocol that revolutionizes the maintenance and sanitation of patient rooms. This approach, combined with an expert operations management team, positions Xanitos uniquely in the healthcare service industry. As a private company, Xanitos prioritizes delivering top-quality, reliable service that positively impacts the hospitals it serves. Their commitment to excellence has led to measurable improvements such as enhanced cleaning quality, elevated Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS) scores, reduced Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), minimized bed turnaround times, and significant cost reductions for healthcare facilities.
Xanitos is currently seeking dedicated Full-Time Environmental Service Hospital Housekeepers to join their team at Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, Texas. This critical role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various locations throughout healthcare campuses to support a safe and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The position is available across all shifts, with immediate job offers extended to qualified candidates. Benefits such as sign-on bonuses, shift differentials for second and third shifts, and competitive hourly pay of $10.00 further highlight the attractiveness of this opportunity. Ideal candidates will have a keen attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow stringent healthcare cleaning protocols. Responsibilities span cleaning and polishing a variety of surfaces, including lighting fixtures, marble, metalwork, and woodwork; maintaining cleanliness in patient rooms, hallways, lounges, restrooms, stairways, and other work areas; and managing waste disposal and supply replenishment.
The role demands compliance with health and safety regulations, including full COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment. Xanitos also requires post-offer medical screening, background checks, and drug tests to ensure the wellness and safety of all employees and clients. The job encompasses significant physical activity, including frequent standing, walking, lifting, and carrying weights up to 50 pounds. Workers should expect exposure to certain chemicals, requiring proper safety attire. Xanitos emphasizes a work environment that, while generally quiet, occasionally involves exposure to airborne particles and mechanical equipment, necessitating vigilance and adherence to safety protocols.
At Xanitos, employees benefit from comprehensive and competitive packages tailored to support their health, financial security, and overall wellbeing. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, 401K retirement plans, employee assistance and wellness programs, crew shoe reimbursements, and generous paid time off encompassing vacation, sick leave, holidays, bereavement leave, and jury duty. Additionally, employee discounts on local recreational and entertainment activities enhance the overall workplace experience. Xanitos remains an equal opportunity employer, valuing diversity and compliance with federal employment laws, and strongly encourages qualified individuals seeking a stable and meaningful healthcare support role to apply promptly.
