Job Description

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is a leading FORTUNE 100 home improvement retailer headquartered in Mooresville, North Carolina. Serving millions of customers weekly, Lowe's operates over 1,700 stores, 530 branches, and 130 distribution centers across the United States. With over 300,000 associates, the company is committed to providing exceptional customer service, offering a wide range of products and solutions for home improvement projects. Lowe's focuses on creating safe and affordable housing, enhancing community spaces, and nurturing the next generation of skilled trade experts, along with providing disaster relief to affected communities. This reflects Lowe's dedication not only to its customers but also to the communities it serves. For those looking to build their careers in retail, Lowe's offers various growth opportunities built on strong ethics and a supportive work environment.

The role in consideration is a Customer Service Associate (CSA) position, a vital front-line job responsible for delivering excellent customer service in accordance with Lowe's policies and standards. This role involves engaging customers by understanding their home improvement needs and assisting with product selection, demonstrations, carrying merchandise, or loading products. The CSA is expected to respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and associate inquiries, guiding them through projects and providing detailed product information including stock availability, special orders, benefits, warranty details, and other Lowe's program specifics.

In addition to customer interaction, the CSA will coach and train other associates, particularly within the front-end team, fostering a collaborative and educational environment. The position includes processing transactions using the cash register, managing returns, refunds, and special orders while ensuring accuracy in transactions and monetary exchanges. The CSA also contributes to store security by monitoring merchandise, recognizing potential theft or shoplifting, and reporting concerns to management or Asset Protection teams.

Safety and store upkeep are significant aspects of the role, as maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment is critical. The CSA will be responsible for ensuring safety standards are upheld, including proper aisle clearance, equipment usage, and compliance with store safety policies. Operating various store equipment such as scanners, cash recyclers, surveillance systems, and specialty devices is a part of daily duties.

Overall, this role requires a dedicated individual who combines excellent customer service skills with operational efficiency and a proactive approach to store safety and security. It is an excellent opportunity for retail professionals who want to grow within a reputable company committed to community, customer satisfaction, and employee development.
