This job opportunity is for a Fulfillment Associate position at Lowe's, focused on playing a crucial role in picking, staging, inspecting, and fulfilling customer orders efficiently and accurately to ensure excellent customer satisfaction. As a Fulfillment Associate, you will operate in a dynamic warehouse or store environment where maintaining clean and safe staging areas is essential. Your responsibilities will include selecting high-quality items, validating orders, answering customer inquiries, and collaborating with other associates to meet customer needs effectively. The role also demands operating and maintaining certification for powered equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and narrow aisle reach trucks, while strictly adhering to all safety protocols.

The Fulfillment Associate position requires strong communication skills and a customer-first mindset to achieve daily job responsibilities successfully. You will contribute to inventory accuracy by using technology tools like the Orders App, ensuring compliance with store inventory management systems, and partnering with leadership to resolve any inventory discrepancies. Additional activities include completing administrative and maintenance tasks like audits, order follow-ups, locker management, and promptly reporting any safety or theft concerns. The position may occasionally require you to perform other duties to support business needs.

Job Requirements

  • 6 months of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • powered equipment certification counterbalance forklift, order picker, and narrow aisle reach truck (required, must be obtained if not already certified)

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • 6 months of retail experience preferred
  • 6 months of experience in customer service or product fulfillment at a home improvement or hardware retailer preferred
  • 6 months of experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles preferred
  • 6 months of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • 6 months of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • powered equipment certification for counterbalance forklift, order picker, and narrow aisle reach truck (required or must be obtained)

Job Duties

  • Pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time, keeping staging areas clean, organized, and safe
  • Deliver excellent service by choosing high quality items, validating orders, answering questions, and connecting customers with the right associates when needed
  • Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment (forklift, order picker, narrow aisle reach truck) and follow all safety requirements
  • Support inventory accuracy by using the Orders App, maintaining SIMS compliance, and partnering with leadership to resolve short picks
  • Complete administrative, maintenance, and readiness tasks such as audits, order follow-ups, and locker management, while reporting safety or theft concerns promptly
  • Achieve daily job responsibilities with a customer-first mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills
  • May be assigned other duties to support the needs of the business
