Job Description

Schulte Companies is a well-established business known for its commitment to delivering high-quality hospitality services. With a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence, Schulte Companies operates in various sectors within the hospitality industry, including restaurants and hotels. They are recognized for fostering a supportive culture rooted in hospitality, emphasizing team collaboration, professional development, and guest-centric service. The company prides itself on offering a robust benefit package and a dynamic work environment that promotes growth and well-being for its associates.

The Food and Beverage Manager role at Schulte Companies is an exciting opportunity for an energetic and experienced professional to lead both front and back-of-house operations within their restaurant and hotel venues. This position involves comprehensive management responsibilities, including recruiting, training, and developing the Food and Beverage team to ensure the delivery of excellent service that aligns with the brand's high standards. The manager will play a critical role in directing associates and supervisors towards achieving operational goals and maintaining superior guest satisfaction.

In addition to staff management, the role requires oversight of food and beverage preparation, ensuring quality and consistency for all offerings. The manager will also enforce strict adherence to safety, health, and hygiene standards, maintaining a clean and safe operating environment. Administrative duties such as processing bi-weekly payroll, managing inventory, and ordering supplies are integral to the position, emphasizing the importance of financial and operational control.

An important aspect of this role includes menu and beverage list development, pricing strategy, and selection of various operational elements like condiments, linens, uniforms, and décor, all in line with brand guidelines. The manager will address employee performance issues, handle disciplinary matters, and support performance management consistent with the hotel's standards.

Operational budget management is another key responsibility, with a focus on controlling food, liquor costs, and payroll expenses to meet business objectives. The role demands strong communication skills, leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage time effectively while exceeding guest and team expectations.

Experience in collaborating with sales teams for meetings, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), menu planning, and pop-up events is highly valued. Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations and room service adds to the suitability for this role. The schedule is flexible, with requirements to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference given to those holding post-secondary education or degrees. At least two years of supervisory experience in food and beverage within a similar sized restaurant operation is required. Schulte Companies offers competitive compensation and an attractive benefits package. Their inclusive hiring process includes interviews, background and reference checks, drug screening, and possible employment assessment. This is an excellent chance to join a company dedicated to hospitality excellence and employee well-being.
