Job Description
Located in Atlanta, GA, this private family is seeking a dedicated, full-time Executive Housekeeper to become a long-term member of their household. The family is renowned for their warm and respectful nature, with a strong emphasis on loyalty and longevity in their household staff. With several household employees having remained with them for decades, they value individuals who take pride in their work and are eager to build a lasting relationship within the family setting.
The family resides in a spacious 12,000 square foot home and consists of five nearly grown children, including one teenager currently living at home, as well as six friendly dogs. The household environment is lively and requires an Executive Housekeeper who is not only highly organized and proactive but also capable of managing the home independently without needing daily direction. This role is essential in maintaining the household's smooth operation and upholding the family’s high standards.
The Executive Housekeeper will be responsible for comprehensive housekeeping duties, including laundry and linen care, organizing closets and household spaces, and running errands. Errands may include visits to Target, Publix, UPS/FedEx, and other necessary locations. Additionally, the role requires unpacking luggage, polishing silver, caring for fine household items, maintaining household supplies, and preparing the home before and after guests. The family provides a household vehicle and a company credit card to facilitate work-related errands.
This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with approximately 40 hours per week, typically from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The salary range is competitive, approximately $86,000 to $90,000 annually, depending on experience. It is a payroll position that offers several benefits, including 10 days of paid time off, paid major holidays, 5 sick days, and a possible monthly healthcare stipend. The family’s willingness to wait for the right candidate underscores their commitment to finding a reliable and dedicated Executive Housekeeper who fits well with their household values and lifestyle.
Ideal candidates are those experienced in private homes as Executive Housekeepers, exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and self-starters who take initiative. Trustworthiness, dependability, and discretion are paramount, as is a warm, kind, and professional demeanor. Candidates should be comfortable working around dogs, including Bernese Mountain Dogs, French Bulldogs, and Chihuahuas, given that the family has six dogs. Local candidates with a reasonable commute are strongly preferred to ensure ease of integration and consistent attendance.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Executive Housekeeper looking for a stable, long-term position with a family that genuinely values and appreciates dedicated household staff. It offers not only competitive compensation and benefits but also the chance to become a vital part of a household that emphasizes respect, loyalty, and a positive work environment.
