The current opening for a Full-Time EVS & Food and Nutrition Services (FNS) Specialist/Housekeeper at a state-of-the-art hospital in the Lubbock area is an excellent opportunity for those with prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or sanitation services. The role requires a blend of environmental and food service duties with an emphasis on maintaining hygiene standards and assisting patients with food service needs. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or sanitation roles
  • ability to perform physical cleaning duties and operate cleaning machinery
  • knowledge of infection control and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • clean hospital areas as assigned including isolation rooms and perform terminal cleaning procedures
  • operate environmental service equipment such as auto scrubber and burnisher
  • clean medical equipment including IV poles, pumps, monitors, beds
  • transport and store biohazardous waste, sharps, and soiled linen safely
  • obtain menus from assigned patients and assist with menu selections ensuring compliance with diet orders
  • prepare food for patient trays using equipment like TurboChef and microwave oven
  • assist with other duties as needed throughout the facility
