Lighthouse Memory Care, a part of the Milestone family, is currently seeking a full-time Dishwasher to join its culinary team. This role is vital in ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are cleaned, sanitized, and stored properly to support smooth and efficient dining services. As a Dishwasher, you will work closely under the supervision of the Dining Room Manager or Director of Culinary Services, playing an essential part in maintaining a clean, safe, and professional kitchen and dining environment. The position offers an hourly wage between $17.13 and $18.00 for full-time employees, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
The Dishwasher will be responsible for supporting the positive customer service culture in the dining room while managing the sanitation and cleanliness of dishes and kitchen areas. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or customer service preferred
- Obtain Food Handlers Permit as required by state regulations
- Must be 18 years or older
- Meet health requirements including health screening and TB clearance
- Pass state-required fingerprinting and criminal background check
- First Aid certification required
- Compassion for and desire to work with older adults
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to understand and follow instructions, plan and organize tasks
- Self-motivated with strong customer service work ethic
- Pleasant, professional, and personable with excellent organizational skills

Job Duties
- Support a positive customer service culture in the dining room
- Transport dishes to the kitchen and maintain a clean dining area
- Clear, wash, and sanitize dishes, utensils, and tabletop items
- Return dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas
- Ensure safe work practices for yourself and coworkers
- comply with Safety Committee Standards
- Complete sanitation and cleanup tasks for dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, sinks, and drains
- Empty trash and follow daily cleaning schedules
- Assist with serving residents in the dining room as needed
- Maintain flexibility with daily schedule, including weekends or evenings as needed
- Display friendliness and professionalism when interacting with residents, families, and visitors
- Provide support during community tours and events
- Follow dress code and maintain a positive professional image
- Report elder maltreatment or abuse as required to appropriate management and authorities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Culinary Services
