The Full-Time Bilingual Day Porter role is an essential position within PJS, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of a building in the Southwest area of Austin. This position involves ensuring that the entire facility, including lobbies, common areas, restrooms, and break rooms, is kept clean, inviting, and safe throughout the day. The Day Porter plays a key role in enhancing the occupant experience by handling routine cleaning maintenance and responding promptly to any unforeseen incidents, such as spills or safety hazards. They are the frontline custodians who help create a welcoming atmosphere by efficiently managing continuous cleaning tasks and addressing any safety concerns that arise.

Specifically, the Day Porter is accountable for continuous touch-point cleaning designed to reduce the spread of illness through the elimination of bacteria and germs. The role demands an individual who can work independently or as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic. Physical stamina is required as the job involves frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, reaching, pulling, and lifting objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Candidates are expected to maintain a neat and professional appearance and must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States, with the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.

This position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with a competitive hourly wage of $20.00, although pay rates may vary depending on location.
