At Kohl's Shelby Township, MI location, we are immediately hiring a full-time Customer Service Supervisor who will play a pivotal role in maintaining our best-in-class customer experience. This position is essential in ensuring that day-to-day store operations related to cash office management run smoothly and efficiently. The Customer Service Supervisor will oversee functions such as register and cash balancing, managing change orders, authorizing voided transactions, and handling over/short research. They will also supervise associates to cultivate a sales-driven culture that focuses on delivering consistent customer service excellence. This role requires engaging directly with customers to understand and solve their shopping needs, making every customer feel respected, appreciated, and rewarded.

The Customer Service Supervisor will be responsible for managing Omni and Freight flow processes to ensure optimal stock levels and timely product availability across various channels. They will actively inform customers about current merchandise assortments, store promotions, and events, enhancing overall customer engagement and satisfaction. To create a welcoming environment, the supervisor supports sales floor activities, fitting rooms, point of sale operations, and various other operational processes to maintain a dynamic and organized store environment.

In addition, this role involves helping customers benefit from Kohl's Card by facilitating applications, activations, and promoting the card as a way for customers to save on their purchases. The supervisor will observe associate performance, provide constructive feedback in partnership with the Assistant Manager and Store Manager, and play a crucial part in onboarding, training, and developing associates to grow their skills and contribute effectively to the store's success.

This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.10 to $23.10 per hour and provides a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental leave, and a generous associate discount program. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in customer service or retail environment preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capacity to supervise and motivate a team
  • Basic knowledge of cash handling and point of sale operations
  • Ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in retail customer service or supervisory role preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to engage with customers and resolve issues effectively
  • Knowledge of point of sale systems
  • Capable of managing multiple operational tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Building customer connections and executing an authentic hospitality experience
  • Helping customers save with a Kohl’s Card, opening and activating Kohl’s Card applications
  • Observing associate performance and providing feedback in partnership with Assistant Manager/Store Manager
  • Onboarding, training and developing associates
