At Tenfold Senior Living, the culinary team plays a critical role in enriching the resident experience by delivering an outstanding culinary service. The role is focused on delivering excellent culinary experiences that are comforting, engaging, and reminiscent of residents' own life stories. This means preparing foods that are not only unique and surprising but also familiar and traditional in a way that resonates deeply with each resident’s background and preferences. Attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards are paramount, as is maintaining a meticulous kitchen environment that meets regulatory compliance for health and safety standards.
Primary responsibilities include preparing meals aligned with menu plans and resident requests, maintaining an organized and clean kitchen environment, and collaborating with the Culinary Director to uphold recipe standards. The position requires a high level of manual dexterity and knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques to ensure the quality and presentation of every dish served. This role offers a collaborative and innovative atmosphere where culinary skills can grow and flourish.
The position is scheduled to work either Wednesday through Sunday or Friday through Tuesday, from 11 am to 7:30 pm, providing flexible work shifts to support work-life balance. Job Requirements
- Culinary and nutritional education preferred
- ServeSafe food handling certification preferred
- 1-3 years of experience being part of a culinary team
- Demonstrated knowledge of cooking methods and techniques
- Manual dexterity and hand eye coordination to handle tools such as knife techniques for chopping slicing cutting and dicing
- Experience interacting with and deeply relating to seniors
- Meets all applicable licensing and background requirements
- Ability to work Wednesday - Sunday or Friday - Tuesday 11am - 7:30pm

Job Duties
- Ensuring residents experience an excellent culinary experience with foods that are interesting surprising unique comforting traditional and reminiscent of their own life experiences
- Follow standard procedures and best practices to ensure the meticulous cleanliness of the kitchen servery and three dining venues
- Follow standard procedures and best practices to maintain regulatory compliance with all applicable agencies on all matters related to food service and safety
- Collaborate in preparing dishes based on resident orders or based on agreed menu planning for residents in Harbor consistent with recipes and standards established by the Culinary Director
- Perform routine kitchen tasks following the prep production list created by management
- Set up workstations and stock ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Label all ingredients prepared so they can be used in cooking
