Operating over 35 senior living communities across the Western United States, the company specializes in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. Recognized as a top workplace in the aging services sector by Fortune magazine and certified as a Great Place to Work since 2017, MBK Senior Living offers a vibrant and welcoming environment where employees can thrive.
The Cook role at MBK Senior Living is integral to delivering exceptional dining experiences that contribute significantly to residents' health and satisfaction. As a full-time position, Cook responsibilities include meticulous preparation of meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary requirements, ensuring all food is nutritious, appetizing, and presented with care. The Cook plays a key role in daily kitchen operations, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of food storage areas, supervising kitchen staff such as servers and dishwashers, and collaborating closely with the Director of Dining Services on menu planning and food quality standards. This position demands a keen attention to food safety regulations, proper temperature control, and strict adherence to sanitation policies.
The schedule is structured to cover morning and afternoon shifts across Sunday through Wednesday, providing a consistent workload within a dynamic environment. The compensation range is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, reflecting the importance of culinary expertise and professionalism expected from incumbent cooks. In addition to competitive pay, MBK Senior Living offers a robust benefits package for full-time employees, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401k with matching contributions, childcare and eldercare support, and flexible spending accounts. Moreover, MBK supports career growth through professional development programs, mentoring, and educational assistance.
By joining MBK Senior Living as a Cook, candidates will have the unique opportunity to impact the lives of seniors through quality meal preparation, while being part of a collaborative, mission-driven team that values service excellence and personal growth. This is more than a job; it is a chance to create meaningful experiences for residents and to advance in the senior living industry within an established and highly regarded company.
