The Cook position at Bass Pro Shops offers a full-time opportunity for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role is centered on maintaining the highest standards of food quality and kitchen cleanliness, ensuring that guests receive delicious menu items prepared according to exact recipes and strict quality controls. The position requires attentiveness to detail, adherence to sanitation and safety regulations, and the ability to work efficiently within a team-oriented environment. The Cook will be responsible for preparing orders accurately, managing food stocks at their workstation, and operating the point-of-sale system for all meal transactions. In addition to food preparation, maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen is paramount, aligning with Ecosure standards and health regulations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking preferred
  • Ability to stand and move constantly during shifts
  • Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work under general supervision using established procedures and innovation
  • Availability for full-time employment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work as a team
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in a similar food preparation role preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards
  • Ability to operate POS systems
  • Capability to follow recipes and instructions accurately

Job Duties

  • Prepares menu items as ordered for restaurant patrons and strictly adhering to recipe guidelines
  • Ensures all prepared menu items meet quality expectations and plate specifications 100% of the time
  • Rings all prepared menu items through the POS system
  • Restocks work station with food products as needed
  • Follows proper personal hygiene and sanitation standards set by health department
  • Follows proper food storage, handling and preparation standards
  • Adheres to Ecosure standards at all times
  • Maintains a clean and safe working environment by following safety guidelines at all times
  • Completes and abides by all training requirements
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
