The role we are hiring for is a Cook position within our senior living community. As a Cook at ISL, you will have a direct impact on the lives of seniors by preparing nutritious and appealing meals that meet the specific dietary and lifestyle needs of our residents. This position requires proficiency in preparing hot and cold menu items, working skillfully across multiple stations such as the grill, sauté station, salad bar, and service line. You will be responsible for ensuring proper preparation techniques, portion control, and adhering closely to the standardized recipes and menu cycles defined by our culinary team. Maintaining the quality and palatability of food is essential, requiring attention to taste and presentation. The Cook role demands strong organizational skills to manage kitchen tasks efficiently, excellent communication to collaborate with kitchen staff and accommodating residents' needs, and a keen eye for detail in food preparation and hygiene. Experience in food production methods, portion control, and food safety standards is necessary, with previous experience in senior living environments preferred. This position also requires the ability to work on weekends and participate actively in our team culture. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous cooking experience required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
