Job Requirements
- Must be 18 year or older
- Serve Safe Certification or willingness to obtain Serve Safe Certification
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 year or older
- Serve Safe Certification or willing to retrieve a Serve Safe Certification
- Experience as a cook recommended but not required
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays if necessary
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Culinary training or certification is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and residents nutritional needs
- Ensure all food is prepared safely hygienically and in compliance with health regulations
- Plan menus in collaboration with dietitians and management to meet diverse dietary requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Follow proper food handling procedures and maintain food safety standards
- Assist with special dietary requests and accommodate individual preferences when possible
- Record food temperatures and document food preparation activities as required
