Job Description

Our establishment is a renowned healthcare and senior living community committed to providing exceptional care and service to our residents. We take pride in creating a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel at home and enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle. With a dedicated team of professionals, we focus on offering quality dining experiences tailored to the nutritional and therapeutic needs of our community. Our culinary department plays a crucial role in supporting residents' health and satisfaction through carefully prepared meals that meet dietary requirements and personal preferences.

We are currently seeking a full-time Cook to join our team, working every other weekend with a competitive wage ranging from $20.00 to $25.00 per hour. This role is integral to the success of our team and the overall satisfaction of our residents. The Cook is primarily responsible for preparing cold food items, bakery goods, and salads, while also having the flexibility to cook hot meals such as burgers, fries, and eggs depending on the business needs. This position requires adherence to stringent federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations, as well as compliance with our internal policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will contribute to delivering meals that are not only nutritious but also palatable and visually appealing, following established menus and standardized recipes. They will inspect special diet trays to ensure the correct dietary needs are met and serve food in accordance with established portion control guidelines. Additionally, the Cook will assist with food preparation for special events, maintain sanitary conditions in the kitchen, and support inventory management by replenishing food and supplies.

At our community, we emphasize teamwork, reliability, and excellent customer service. The Cook must be organized, attentive to detail, and capable of working independently while managing time effectively. Regular attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed are essential for this role. We also value candidates who possess or are willing to obtain Serve Safe Certification or a Food Handlers Certificate within the first six months of employment, with support from our culinary leadership.

Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive and dynamic workplace where your skills and efforts directly impact the lives of our residents. We provide comprehensive benefits that include health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, retirement savings with company matching, educational support, and generous paid time off. Our commitment to employee well-being and professional growth creates an environment where you can thrive and make a meaningful difference.

This position offers a unique opportunity for culinary professionals passionate about working in a community-focused environment. If you are eager to apply your culinary skills in a service-oriented setting and contribute to a positive dining experience for those we serve, we encourage you to apply and join us in making our community a place our residents are proud to call home.
